my brother



there are 3 years betwen my brother and i. he's 22, and im 25. it wasnt until i was 20, and had moved out of home that we actually had civil conversations.

i hated brett. hated him with a passion that no one had ever felt. he was a shit, and he knew it. he knew that he shit people and he did it anyway. i remember him laying on the lounge, my other brother aaron, sitting on the floor. he'd move his leg slowly, s l o w ly, till his big stinky feet were a centimetre away from aarons head. aaron would sit aptiently, until he'd ask brett nicely to move his foot. then brett would say, 'but im not doing anything, im just laying here'.
'move your foot'
'im not hurting anyone!'
' move your foot'
'aaron shut up'
'move your foot'

at that point aaron must have said move your foot a little differently cos it was time for brett to kick him.

then, of course, it was time for big sister to jump in. at this point i still was the big sister, and had a little up on brett. i couldnt just raise my hand at him and he'd run away like i used to, but i could jump on his chest, landing on my knees and pull his hair.

but only when he hurt aaron. not saying i didnt enjoy it :)

but now we get along really well. he came over tonight, invited himself over with a phone call '6:30, bbq, me and kristin, your house, be there', took the dishes out to the kitchen when we'd finished, bathed the kids, and after he left he brought me back a cookies and cream icecream.

thats a long time, it means that sometimes you really have to plan ahead

oh yeah

i am currently eating nestle choc bits from the packet with a spoon. they went all melty and if i put them in the fridge they'll set together into one big lump so they'll be useless anyway.

that wasnt what i came back to blog about.

matt is reading the lord of the rings. its a pretty amazing feat for him since this time last year he was....i dont want to say struggling..making his way slowly throught the kids book 'the wonderful flight to the mushroom planet. but as of right now he has 40 pages left and i am very proud of him.

we went and saw return of the king the other night...boxing day, it was, the first day it was out here. we rang up that morning and couldnt get tickets until 10 o'clock that night. even with marc and josh getting there at 8, we still ended up with a crappy seat. but it was worth it

mat and i got there at about 20 to 10. we were sposed to be there at 9 but we obvioulsy had more important things to do...like watching world idol.
it was so funny. honestly, i could have sung better than a couple of them.
well done to that freaky guy for winning, he's got a really good voice. by far the best moment(s) were seeing kelly clarksons reactions each time she didnt get full points..aaaahhh, sweet. you could see it in her eyes, her little brain thinking 'but im american????'

fucking summer

howzit...i dont know if i have ever described to you people my intense dislike for hot weather. you may say to yourself, hey, everyone gets a bit sick of hot weather every now and then, its not *that* bad, but let me tell you, yes, it is that bad.
i hate summer. i hate hot weather. im rather opposed to any temperature above 26 degrees, most especially at night. i hate being sweaty. i hate having sweaty underknees. i am rather chuffed with my new deoderant though, so i guess thats one thing.

i bleached my hair. i was feeling summery at christmas time and my hair just wasnt cutting it. so i thought, hey, i've got some bleach in the cupboard, i might just put it in my hair. so i did, and the results werent so great. here, i'll take a picture.




it started to burn my head before it was properly the right colour so as a result i have stupid hair. i might just leave it as i really cant be bothered going to the hair dresser or attempting to fix it myself. we can all see what happened when i tried to do something myself...yes...not a good look.

btw, has anyone heard of the sundance weirdo? apparently its from the muppet babies and he has a song that goes like this

my new years went off with a....fneh

at midnight i was called into matts parents loungeroom to watch some people perform a song from the lion king.

i was not drunk, nor had i had any drinks except a baileys, which at first came to me as a baileys, milk and pineapple juice, (pineapple juice? yeah - says the bartender nodding when he's asked if he put juice in my baileys).

i then sat in a car as matt went to get josh who was attempting to stop a fight between his boss and a security guard of their establishment.

we drove home, matt suggested getting drunk and stoned down the beach.

we got home went to bed minus drugs and/or drink and i fell asleep reading harry potter
