oh, and one last thing. i learned another new way of measuring today from the number crew, a show that the boys watch...

'a meter is the height of a four year old or half a very tall man'

along with this comes a shot of two 4 year olds, and then a four year old next to a man, with the man holding another kid above the head of the one on the ground. and you know what? the song was right.

gotta get me a couple of midgets and some four year olds and i can measure anything
i went to the readthrough for midsummer nights dream last night. there are no good looking boys. there's one cute girl, and she gets to be a faerie, but she's not that good. anyway, my point is, i dont judge people by their looks, but i would prefer to kiss someone who was attractive. that's right, i said kiss. there is a possibility of a kissing scene between me and demetrius. he looked at me afterwards with this gross little grin and said, 'this should be fun'. i was very sure to show him my family pics i had in my purse.
i have a lot of lines

i found the whitlams tickets. they were in my calendar. most people who knew me would think, of course they wer ein your calendar, carly, everything goes there. well thats right, everything does go there, but it goes in the corresponding month and this was put in september of last year. also, matt put my calendar away in my computer cupboard and when we found it, it was sitting on the kitchen table.

poltergoost

i called deidre today and i finally have an appointment. the 6th of feburary. yep, next year.

i've lost my whitlams tickets

for the second time

the gig is friday

why am i here, instead of looking for them?
while i was driving to my mikado audition, i saw a pigeon sitting in the middle of the turning lane. i've seen pigeons sitting around before. they usually do it when they're about to die. a lot of them decide to do it on my driveway or on the footpath in front of my house. anyway. there was this pigeon, and i thought to myself that if i was a pigeon who was dying, id rather die in peace, laying on the footpath than sit in the middle of the road thinking, im dying, but i could be hit by a car any second and i dont know which is gonna happen first. i didnt stop. and i thought about it the whole way to the audition that i should have gone back and moved the bird.
then yesterday xander called me out the back because daisy was doing something. i looked out the window and there's daisy picking up this baby bird, gently, and dropping it again. so i went outside, picked up the bird, checked if anything was broken and took it inside. it was then that i notoced the toy hammer in xanders hands.
did you hit the bird?
no
did you?
i just looked at its legs
i hled it for a little while, and i talked to matt about it and he reckoned the best place for it would be back in its nest. i was worried about that, handled by people too much it would be discarded thing, but matt said that that was just an old wives tale, so i put it back. when i lifted it into its nest its head fell forward all droopy. i knew it wouldnt make it but i told xander it would be ok.
when matt came home, he told xander to be the bird, and that he would be xander, so we could see what happened. so xander laid on the ground on his back with his legs curled up on his tummy and matt held his hand up like he was holding something.
what have i got in my hand?
a hammer :)!
and what do i have to do with it?
bang it!
just one time?
three times, bang bang bang!!!
xander, did you bang the bird with the hammer?
i had to, cos daisy was eating him, so i had to bang him with the hammer.

that bird had no chance

i thought that finding the bird was like, a sign or something. like, if i saved this one then it was ok that i left the pigeon on the road. maybe im just thinking too much because im inwardly nervous about tonight. the only thing i can feel my nervousness about is wether or not my car will make it home without stalling again. i dont want to be stuck out there in the dark.
i have to leave in about 4 hours. i just finished watching a midsummer nights dream on video, the one with kevin kline and calista flockhart. poor helena, all she ever does is cry. but at least she's happy in the ending, even if demitrius does only love her because puck put a spell on him

i know how you all love midgets...
theres a show called rove live>, and tonight was the last show of the year, the christmas show.
they had a huge wooden cut out christmas tree, like, 5 midgets high. you wonder why im using midgets? well, they dressed midgets up as snowmen, angels, reindeer and other such christmassy things and hung them from the tree.
yes, it was funny
insanity insmamity
well, thats what id like to say anyway. i drove off today without shutting eli's door. i spent all our money on myself and now i have to borrow money off of brett to pay for matts rego. and as soon as i bought the stuff i felt bad. more bad than i usually feel. i spoke to karlie and was nice. the boys fell out of a trolley today and i almost didnt react. i rang deidre. she was in a meeting. she'll ring me back. i've been waiting for her to call me for two months. i'm not getting my hopes up. i drove past daniels last night. i didnt stop. but just doing it is wrong and it fucked with my mind all of last night. so much so that i couldnt sleep and when i did i had freaky dreams that were more freaky than normal, i cant even begin to explain them. i've been worried about going to the whitlams this friday night because of the trouble it kinda caused last time. i got upset earlier because my toast burned. then i ate it anyway, even though it was gross cos i felt bad about wasting, and cos id spent money earlier
so, i went into the city on sunday and went for a part in les miserable. i very VERY much doubt that i got it. i was sitting there with everyone else who was talking about the last show they did and how they were supposed to hit a high c and only just made it and listening to the auditions with people singing soprano and tenor and so on, and singing songs from operas and musicals, with a proper score to give to the pianist.
i went in with basically no musical experience, with no music for the pianist, with a song that they'd never heard before, by a guy they'd never heard of. i sang a verse and a half before they stopped me.
i very muchdoubt i will be in les mis.
then yesterday i drove in a storm to hindmarsh into basically the same situation except the people were nicer. the mikado would be cool to do, and they didnt seem to mind that i already had commitments to another play. at least they let me sing the whole song. i dont know of that was a good thing or not cos my voice was so shakey. they were nice though and said that they'd let me know in about a week how i went. i had to shuffle like a japanese lady. that was fun at least.
my car doesnt like the rain. i conked out many times on the way home and got beeped at by nasty people driving past me. my car stopped at some traffic lights and i had to push it around the corner in the rain. luckily a man ran back to help me. i drove home through the back streets near my grandparents houses just incase i stopped again, but i was ok. i dont know what its problem is. it either has to go fast or it gets shitty and stops. i was driving along at 10 miles an hour last night, trying to make it across an intersection before the lights turned. stupid car. and i went through a red light cos i was scared to stop cos i didnt think id get going again. stupid car.
anyone want to buy a car? its really cool, no problems, a joy to drive and all that stuff.....going relatively cheap. its a classic, umm...yeah

Saturday, November 23, 2002

um....i got it....i'm helena....eeeeeeeeeeeeek
ok, so about my audition. well, iprobably would have gone better if they hadnt stuck me with this lame ass git twice. he couldnt act, he couldnt even read, and i was put with him for both the parts i actually wanted, and put with the good people for a part i didnt want. stupid boy. i read for the faerie, helena and bottom. thy'll ring me by wednesday if i have a part. we'll see
it is fucking forty fucking two fucking degrees

fuck that

i hate summer

Friday, November 22, 2002

i've just finished screaming at my boys so much that my throat is sore. it was then i realised that i hadnt taken my medicine today. i dont know that i would be alive now if i didnt have this stuff. i miss a day and i cant handle anything. i've lost christmas presents and then i find them but cant find the wrapping paper and then i cant find the scissors or the sticky tape, and all this makes me so upset that i start shaking and hallucinating again. there are two flies in the house and i cant work out how they got in. sure, i mean, they probably just came in with the kids while they were running in and out but it bothers me that they're inside and i cant get rid of them. oh, the flies are real, not a hallucination. i dont know why i decided to write about the flies after all that stuff...just wanted to clear that up.
i bought a pair of size 16 jeans today. they're nice and they were only $30, but they're a 16 and that makes me upset. how can i put on and take off and put on weight again so fast without any change in my diet or exercise? thyroid? i think so, but according to the doctor, apparently not.
i'm even conisdering not going to my auditions. i'll be so mad with myself if i dont go but they way im feeling now i'll just do a crappy job and then feel worse after. i dont know. i havent decided on what im going to sing yet either. so far, its out of

There's no other place we should be
So where your hand ends my hand starts
We're fugitives in the funpark
Where your hand ends my hand starts
We're fugitives in the funpark
Where your hand starts my hand ends
You promised that we'd always be the best of friends
You said we'd never be the worst of friends

ok, i am in love with darren ahnlon, bree van ryke and frida ekland.

last night i saw darren hanlon. he just gets better and better everytime i see him, and i fall in love with bree more and more everytime too. shes just so cute. i got to talk to darrens girlfriend frida too for ages while i waited for matt. i think he was buying me a cd for christmas. i dont know, but im pretty sure. i spoke to darren about eli wallach, and being in one of his filmclips and asked him if he remembered sean. he said that he did. i laughed. and i told bree that sean thought she was cute. i told darren that i thought bree was cute, heeheee!!! i told frida too and she said that bree is just so beautiful that she doesnt realise how beautiful she is.
what else has been going on...well, i didnt go to yoga this morning cos xander didnt get up till 10:30. eli was up at 8 though. they had a late night. we didnt get home until half past one, i think. then we went to sharyns cos it was coopers birthday last thursday. he liked his presents. i got him a wooden pull along rabbit, a hat with smurfs on it and a tickety toc clock. we took some photos of all the boys together too. cute.
what else what else...oh, we looked through sharyns wardrobe to try and decide what she should wear to the whitlams on friday night. i have to buy some new jeans tonight cos while i was at darren hanlon my zipper broke. hows that for me getting too fat. oh yeah, and i put on my maternity dress this morning and it was too tight around my bum and thighs. whoever says im not getting any fatter is lying.
lying lying lying.
i cant decide what to sing this weekend. im tossing up between title fight : heart vs mind and cast of thousands, both by dazz. matt reckons i should sing one of my songs, probably every girl in every school. i dunno yet. im practising all of them. maybe i'll just make up my mind when i get there.
i'll let you all know how i go.
oh, i ran into my uncle graham last week. i havent seen him for a couple of years and before that it was only for about 5 minutes at christmas. he and his wife are the sort of people who just dont turn up to family things. anyway, i saw him at target. i just stared at him until he looked at me. matt left me to do it on my own cos he said he didnt want any part of my shenanigans. he may not have said shenanigans, but i like the word. so graham looks at me and he stares for a while, then the memories hit him and he says, 'oooh' and i say, 'hi, do you remember me?' and he says 'i do actually'.
after we buy our things we talked a bit and i said, 'you know i have two kids now, dont you?' and he gives me a kiss and says congratulations and that poppa told him. i said, yeah, he's 18 months old now. you should have seen his face. aaaah, fun. then he says, 'yeah, ive been busy'. feh

i did some more christmas shopping over the weekend. went to marion, and to the markets, and burned some cds for sharyn. not much else really.
i did find some auditions in the paper though, and i've called them to make my audition times. i'm still waiting for a call back for one. i'm auditioning for les miserable, the mikado and a midsummer nights dream. i'll be happy with any part in any of those.
holly sent me an addy for a blog with heaps of quizzes, so, if you are at all interested, you can check them out at quizzland. also, theres apparently been about 100 people looking at meandering, could one of you make a comment or something? so i at least know that one of those 100 visitors is real and not just the counter people bumping up my numbers so i feel good.
thanks

Rats
Being infested with problems in your life.

House
You. Each part of the house represents aspects of your personality and/or body. The basement would be the place for secrets or things you keep hidden. The top of the house (such as the attic) represents your head, intellect or thoughts. The bedroom is your true self. A home also represents security or safety from the world's harm, as well as your sense of family. A house that is not in good condition means your body or mind is, in some sense, in a similar condition, perhaps through sickness.

Lounge room
Being sociable; how you get along with others and the centre of your self.

Baby
Maternal instinct and wanting unconditional love. May also symbolise a small idea you have, or a "baby" theory you have come up with, depending on your dream

Black people
Your gut instincts; what your intuition tells you; basic needs such as love, water, food.

Famous person
Desire for attention; the qualities of the famous person that you see or wish to see in yourself.

interpret away, my friends

i had a dream the other night that i was in a big house and that someone there was supposed to be shooting a movie. i was getting mad because i had been promised a part but no one had called me for my scene yet and it seemed like everyone else had had their shot already. i was sitting in the loungeroom with a few other people and there was this gigantic...well, gigantic as far as rats go...rat biting this baby. we were trying to hit it away but we were scared it would bite us. then samuel l jackson came in, grabbed the rat by its tail and drowned it in a bucket of water. i looked up and said, 'thanks sam', and he looked at me and said 'mr jackson'.

i'm going to go and find out what dreaming about rats means
I'm so tired, I haven't slept a wink, I'm so tired, my mind is on the blink.
I wonder should I get up and fix myself a drink, no, no, no
I'm so tired, I don't know what to do, I'm so tired, my mind is set on you.
I wonder should I call you but I know what you would do...
You say I'm putting you on but it's no joke, it's doing me harm you know I
can't sleep, I can't stop my brain, you know it's three weeks, I'm going insane
You know I'd give you everything I've got for a little peace of mind.

i wrote my letter for my court appearance, which i wont be going to

to the registrar of the court,
i am sorry that i drove my car when it wasnt registered.
i have always paid my registration in advance until this time when it had elapsed by about a week.
i was worried about not having the money and not paying the registration, so i did not drive my car until the following pay week when i arranged for a babysitter to look after my baby and toddler. i then went to the bank to withdraw the money to pay my registration on the day our pay went in.
the policeman stopped me with my registration papers in my hand as he was watching another unregistered car parked near mine. he checked my registration and then proceded to tell me that i was irresponsible and that i need to get my priorities in life right.
this is the first time anything like this has ever happened to me. i am a responsible person, but have been struggling with post natal depression for some time now, and i was so focused on getting the overdue bill paid that i didnt even think about the consequences of driving the 3kms to pay my registration after my car had been off the road.
after the policeman let me go, i went to see my councellor, mary morriss at noarlunga health village. she wasnt there, but another lady was and she talked to me and calmed me down because i had been crying and was very upset.
she then drove me to the bank and to the registrar of motor vehicles to pay my registration. then she drove me back to my car and i went home.
i am very thankful to the people at the health village for helping me.
my partner and i are raising our young family on a low income and all our utility bills are organised to be paid in installments. not a week goes by when i dont have a bill to pay.
i ask that you please consider a lenient penalty, or perhaps even a warning, when judging my case. if the fine is beyond my means, could we please organise a payment plan.
i hope that this letter is sufficient. my councellor recommended writing a letter because she believed that attending the hearing may be too stressful for me and set back my recovery.
again, i am sorry that i did something wrong.

now, i like to think that has enough balance between little girl lost sorryness, doing it hard blue collar workerness, and good manners to get me on the right side of the judge.
my letter from mary will help too, i think.

dear sir/madam,
i am writing to you to ask for leniency when considering carly's offence of driving an unregistered vehicle on september 24th, 2002.
i have been seeing carly in a councelling capacity since the 6th of may 2002. carly was referred by her doctor for severe post natal depression for which he had prescribed anti-depressant medication.
carly has attended 13 sessions at noarlunga health village and has responded well by using motivation and hard work to assist in her recovery. carly has two young children and she and her partner and struggling to manage financially on a low income.
consequently when carly's car was due for registration this was not possible until the following pay period.
thinking clearly and problem solving are difficult for people with depression. carly was unable to think beyond the fact that she needed to register her car and driving to the motor vehicle department seemed to be her only option. consequently carly was on her way to pay the registration fee when she was apprehended.
i have concerns that this charge and associated penalty will cause a significant set back in carly's recovery. i ask that you consider my request for leniency.

wahoo mary, you rock :)

well, wish me luck, i'll let you know what happens

yay, i've got a webcounter and i put it on myself :)
oh....my....god
you really all should have been there, although i'm sure there would have been some sort of all in brawl if you were. part of me still cant believe that it actually happened, but the rest of me says, well, you really couldnt expect much more.
so, i went to sharyns yesterday afternoon. she was nervous. i kept reminding her that she didnt have to do it, that she could just get her negatives and go, and she said that she'd see how it all panned out.
when we pulled up into the driveway was when i started to get nervous. i really didnt know what to expect.
we knocked on the door, and her brother justin answered. justin used to be this huge scary thing with afro hair that grunted at us and wore the same clothes all the time. now he was really nice, sweet even, and invited us in and asked us how we were going. he said that karlie was upstairs, so we headed up. we could hear her vaccuuming, and as we walked up the stairs, sharyn was calling out, 'hello.....knock knock!!!...'. we got to the top of the stairs, and walked into her room. she didnt stop vaccuuming. sharyn said, 'hi, i'm here to get my negatives'. karlie turned the vaccuum off, handed her the negatives without looking at her, and said, 'here, take them' then started vaccuuming again. sharyn and i stared at each other. i said, 'well, what do you want to do?' she said she wasnt going to leave until she checked that they were all there, and one was missing.
from now on, sharyn will be written in italics

'they arent all here, theres one missing'
'thats all i have'
(still vaccuuming)
'well, they arent all here, and i need them'
'i dont have anymore'
(still vaccuuming)
'im not just doing this to bug you, i need them'
(vaccuuming)
'what is your problem!?'
'i told you, i dont have anymore of your negatives!'
'not with the negatives, with me! what have i done to make you hate me so much? have i offended you in some way?'
(rolling eyes and vaccuuming)'just dont worry about it'
'no, but i do worry about it, i want to know what i've done to make you act this way, we used to be really close and now you cant even be bothered'
'just get lost'
'get lost? thats real mature. come on, lets go'
meanwhile i am just standing there speachless. i cannot believe how rude she is. she doesnt even give us the courtesy of turning off the vaccuum and that makes us have to yell even more. it could have possibly been a civilised conversation but we were forced into yelling cos of her
'you're just such a bitch' sharyn starts walking down the stairs, i am still staring at karlie in disbelief
(still vaccuuming but looking at me with a stupid little smirk) 'tell me something i dont know'
i give her a 'i have no words to describe what just happened/you need to be in a psych ward' kind of look and turn to go down the stairs.
as we are going down the stairs
have a good life...or a bad one that line actually made me laugh

so we get downstairs and justin comes up to us all concerned and asks us what happened, and if we talked to her. i said we tried but she wouldnt turn the vaccuum off. he said that was why he came out, cos he wasnt sure what happened. i have a feeling he knows something cos when sharyn said to him that she just doesnt know what her problem is, he said, that she's under a lot of stress at the moment, but that he didnt think she had a problem with her, exactly. i understand that she's under stress. her mum has diabetes really bad and is living in hospital now, but before that, karlie was her full time carer. but i said, and justin agreed, that what i thought she would need right now is friends, since she only has her boyfriend. he said to kep trying, but sharyn said it wasnt worth it to her anymore. we dont deserve to be treated like that. he looked pretty disappointed but seemed to understand. he walked us to the door, and put his arm around sharyn and said to keep trying.
sharyn was shaking, i was just speachless.
we got in the car and just sat there. then a whole lot of 'what a bitch!'es came out and we drove back to sharyns. this all took about 5 minutes, you see. so we went inside and told rory and he couldnt believe it either. i said i was so close to punching her when she smirked at me, and he said he reckons he would have if he was there. he was a bit worried cos he thought she'd pull a knife on us or something.
part of me wants to go back there and try and sort things out. but i dont know if i can be bothered. i dont want to risk her yelling at me and making everything worse. i feel sorry for her cos of her mum and cos she has no friends, but she's not doing a good job of trying to make any. i guess she doesnt want them. i dunno.
but there you go, thats what happened. i havent spoken to sharyn yet, but we're supposed to be going shopping together on monday so im sure that will be the hot topic for the day.

Tuesday, November 12, 2002

it's been raining all morning and i am so hot. i have all the fans on, the windows open and im naked and i'm still hot.
last night i all of a sudden got all exercisey and went down to the gym and did aqua aerobics. it's really cool, i'm gonna go back. it was hard work. hard continous work for 45 minutes. but i enjoyed it. i think i may be a bit allergic to the chlorine they use there, cos my legs were itchy and spotty, but i'll go back again and see how it goes. maybe my body just needs to get used to moving around so vigorously in those conditions.
in about 5 hours i will be at karlies house anticipating a very awkward time. i told sharyn that i wont be joining in as much as she probably hopes, but i will stand by her on things that i believe as well. i really dont know exactly what she thinks will come of this. she's looking for closure, but i dont think she'll get what she wants. mum was saying that there was this girl who loved on her street when she was little and they went to school together from the start, and were friends until after i was born. her name was glenda, she was friends with my mum and all her sisters, and one day she stopped hanging out with them. apparently it had something to do with something that my aunty meredith supposedly said, but noone knows what it is. meredith has even called her up since and asked her and she still doesnt get a straight answer. i have a feeling that thats whats gonna happen here.
i'll let you know how we go
yay and thanks to everyone who has taken my quiz so far. its noce to know that i have more than a couple of people interested :)
spurndiddle? now that got me curious, but spurndiddle happens to know quite a lot about me, it seems, and is currently residing in first place with sean.
i did audreys quiz and actually scored better than i thought i would.
i'm not hanging around today. my computer is acting all weird and parts of my screen are missing. i'll be back later on though.

Monday, November 11, 2002

there was a girl that sharyn and i met in year nine called karlie. i dont know why we started hanging out with her. after a few years i wondered if it was because her name was karlie, so, it'd be weird cos there'd be two carlys/karlies.
anyway, she wasnt really well liked in her class. she was very moody and she liked horses. liking horses isnt a basis for not liking somone but she had rather coarse hair, so people used to pay her out and say she had horse hair. we were still friends with her though. we all got along really well. there were times when sharyn and i hated her. like when she used to flirt with all the boys from down at the skate ramp, and they'd all pay attention to her, not us. once i got so mad at her, i was *that* close to throwing a D sized battery at her. and i would have aimed for her head too. she went through a phase of writing in our diaries, like scribbling things out and calling us names. i used to think if she hated us so much, why did she still hang out with us, but she did anyway. of course we had heaps of fun times too. we were the 'weird' ones at our school. we naturally acted weirder when people were watching cos we liked the reaction we got, but also because it didnt seem weird to us, just normal and fun. like if it was raining, we'd walk under the edge of the balcony so the drips would hit us. we liked walking in the rain and would do it as often as we could. but people thought that was strange. oh well.
we stayed good friends until we were in year 12. then sharyn left after one term and i met mark and started going out with him. before that we'd hang out in the artroom at lunch and recess, but marks friends sat under the link stairs, so thats where i sat. i think that was the beginning of our diminishing friendship. sharyn kept seeing her out of school, but less and less as time went on.
since then we've caught up a few times but its always been weird. she's either over friendly or bitchy for no reason, and we never really worked out exactly what her problem was.
tomorrow we will have our chance.
after years of karlie having a whole stack of sharyn's negatives, we are going around there to get them. she has been given over a weeks notice of this, and really, she should have given them back years ago because sharyn has asked for them quite a few times. so tomorrow afternoon, we're going to her house, getting sharyns negatives and then starting calmly, are gonna ask her exactly what her problem is.

wish us luck
things i want that arent around anymore

toobs
bush biscuits
those chicken flavoured kangaroo chips
cans of fizzy with the funny little tear shaped bit you drink through
choc orange muesli bars
those chocolates that were brown and white circles, and i cant remember their names, the name had something to do with music, i
think
young talent time
musical movies
cartoons that werent all about pokemons
being sent up the shop with a two dollar note to buy milk and bread and being allowed to get 20 cents worth of mixed lollies
being sent up the shop, barefoot and alone, and your mum not being worried
buying 20 cents worth of mixed lollies and actually getting 20 lollies
riding a bike without a helmet
magic gum that really fizzed and popped

mum saw louise and the kids were brought back safely. i must say that i am very, VERY surprised.
mums fine. im not sure if i told anyone but she had to go into hospital the other day for a clean out. the doctors said that, even though she's been through menopause her body was still producing a little bit of hormone each month, which meant that her body thought it was gonna have a period so readied itself for it then stopped cos there wasnt enough hormone. this continued for about 6 months till she had a yuck period, (which im sure you all wanted to know about). so she had to get a clean out and a look at, and now she's a bit sore but she's fine and it should be ok from now on.
i went over to her house this morning and watched the christmas pageant with her. she likes the pageant so that made her happier.

there are friends of the family that we have called barry and louise. they have three kids, jena, darcy and lachlan. we've known them since brett started school with jena and then aaron went to school with darcy. barry and louise FINALLY broke up after so many years of him being a complete and utter bastard to her. he apparently told her to leave not long after midnight one night and had a locksmith in by 2am to change the locks. anyway, jena and louise are looking for a house since barry kicked them out, and barry took the boys on a camping trip. the first thing both mum and i thought of was that we were never going to see the boys again. yep, abduction. thats so the thing barry would do too, wanker. he has a lot to lose, with his business and all, but i can still see him taking the kids just to get back at louise.
apparently he used to call mum in the early hours of the morning, drunk, and say that louise was asleep so she could come over for a fuck. yes, very romantic.
i'll let you know if the boys come back

help! i've run out of things to talk about and sites to look at. all you people had better blog something or make something exciting happen to me or around me....please????
i thought while i was at it i might as well post the lyrics to my favorite mgf song

unsent letter

I try to talk to you
Can't get past the weather
The friend I thought I knew
Has found somethin', somewhere better
So I'm hanging on your line
Thought we could speak together
Tell me what it is with you, you seem gone forever

I'm spendin' all my time driven round thinkin' clever
With a girl who seems all right and another one who's better
I don't know if I lied when I said we're not together
But I try to talk to you, some how you seem gone

I know what could've been. Try not to think about it
Found it hard to live wi' this, and long to live without it
But my dreams have caught me out, I found my self surrounded
By the odds of our own end enough said about it

I'm spendin' all my time driven round thinkin' clever
With a girl who seems all right and another one who's better
I don't know if I lied when I said we're not together
But I try to talk to you, some how you seem gone

I've given up some thing, I guess that doesn't matter
I've started other things, I guess that doesn't matter
But I finally wrote your song, another unsent letter
In a pile addressed to you, c-/ of somethin', somewhere better

I'm spendin·all my time driven round thinkin·clever
With a girl who seems all right and another one who's better
I don't know if I lied when I said we're not together
But I try to talk to you, some how you seem gone

I'm spendin·all my time driving round fakin' clever
With a girl who seems all right and another one who's better
I don't know if I lied when I said that I'm together
But I try to talk to you, some how you seem gone forever
Yeah, but I try to talk to you, some how you seem gone forever
Yeah, but I try to talk to you, some how you seem gone forever
Yeah, but I try to talk to you, some how you seem gone

i'd like to take this opportunity to share some lyrics from the fine australian band machine gun fellatio. this is from their new album, paging mr strike, which i won from the ansell condoms website. yes, i am a lucky girl.
this song is called pussy town

i like lips and eyes and mouth and smooth soft skin
i got long fingers gonna draw you in
so put on my moan and take off your clothes
slide down slow beneath your belly i go

i'm going down down down down down down down
to pussytown

you got satin silk sheen: you're a fine white glove
you're four times double cream
you're a fine black dove
i got long fingers gonna draw you in
i got lips and eyes and mouth and smooth soft skin

i'm going down down down down down down down
to pussytown
to pussytown
to pussytown

i like lips and eyes and mouth and smooth soft skin
i got long fingers gonna draw you in
so put on my moan and take off your clothes
slide down slow beneath your belly i go

i'm going down down down down down down down
down down down down down down
down down down down down down down
to pussytown

pussy town is sung by mr pinky beecroft

the next song i'd like to share with you is sung by the lovely kk juggy.
it's called (let me be your) dirty fucking whore

my darling the stars they shine for you
my darling the birds twitter for you
my darling my heart skips a beat
whenever i think of you
and under a moonlit sky
i pray and dream that i
will be the one will be the one that you

bend over and bang good and hard from behind
have me on all fours howling at the sky
i'll give your cock a good long suck
then you'll give me a good hard fuck
squeeze my tits all big and bouncy
then spunk all over my botty
i want to be your butt-hot greasy slut

greasy slut
begging for more for i can't get enough
can't get enough

when i leave your tool used-up, worn and soggy
i wont stop then, oh no no
i'll become your little leg-humping doggy
let me be your dirty fucking whore

i think there's something in that for all of us, don't you?

my favourite song on the album so far is called my ex-girlfriend's boyfriend

my ex-girlfriend'd boyfriend's got a band
he writes love songs about her
and from what i understand
he's the expert now at taking off her clothes
he's got two songs on the radio
i wish i'd written those
my ex-girlfriend's boyfriend's got a band

my ex-girlfriends boyfriend's got a band
he writes love songs about her
even i can understand
and he's got a certain something i suppose
his new song's on the radio
and this is how it goes
(this is him singing)

i dont want to live in this world anymore
i dont want to live in this world anymore
(he doesnt want to live in this world anymore)
where will i find true love?
(where will he find true love?)

my ex-girlfriend's naked on the sand
a summer's day two years ago
when i was still her man
i was the expert then at taking off her clothes
and thats all ancient history
and theats the way it goes
but i've been working on my keyboards
(yeah right)
practising guitar
and taking lots of bass lessons
to expand my repertoire
and my new girlfriend my new girlfriend
my new girlfriend my new girlfriend
my new girlfriend my new girlfriend
my new girlfriend my new girlfriend
my new girlfriend's boyfriend's got a band
im hurting today. i think after walking all weekend, then swimming for and hour and a half yesterday, my body has given up and reached its limitations. i think i can hear it saying, 'what the hell are you doing to me? you think you can all of a sudden start exercising after 24 years of sitting on your bum making it fatter and fatter...' this is where i cut it off and say the reason i am exercising is BECAUSE ive been sitting on my bum getting fatter and fatter for 24 years. volunteering to be the marker for the goals with sharyn while the rest of your class plays soccor is not a sport.
i couldnt fit into my swimming shorts yesterday. i only wore them earlier this year and they fitted fine. i also watched a video of me from about 1995. i look so much happier and healthier. i need to stop eating crap.
so, what im going to do today is just take it easy on the exercise side of things. i've done it for 5 days straight, so i think my body deserves a little recouperation time. and then i'll get back into it tomorrow.
the whitlams were on roy and hg last night. seeing them made me want to get my arse into gear, literally. it's only 24 days to go!!!

*big deep breath.......*
ok, we got on the plane at 20 past nine on friday morning. we were running late as usual. the plane ride was ok. we had a piece of apple and walnut cake and some dried fruit and nuts on the way. there wasnt a tv show to watch but i did get to listen to qantas's air radio. i chose channel 11, reeling in the years, with glenn a. baker. this month they were focusing on the year of 1984. i got to hear electric dreams, and other such songs. it was very entertaining. i did switch channels occasionally to the 'cool rock' channel, cos there were a few good songs on there. they played you am i. good on ya, qantas.
so we got to sydney and had absolutely no idea what to do with ourselve. we hopped on a shuttle bus and it took us to the powerhouse museum. i thought it would be a better idea to go to the star wars exhibition on a friday, since there'd be less people. there were still quite a lot of people there but, wow. it was amazing. i got my photo taken with darth vadar and yoda, and i took matts photo with boba fett and someone else...cant remember. i'll let you know in a while cos matts picking up the photos soon.
there was so much there. it was really weird to see it all. it was like it was smaller than i thought, but bigger at the same time. we stayed in the information portal for a while and played computer games. we beat the trash masher, i'm proud to say. it was a game where you had to choose the odd one out out of characters and ships and stuff, or luke, han, leia and chewie get...well, mashed in the trasher. there was also a thing where you could be darth vadar. we had to stand on our knees to try it but you got to look through the helmet and see things as he'd see them, and it also had a voice simulator so you sounded like him. i said, 'maaaaaatty, maaaaatty, come here....i've got a little kiss for you' then imade kissing noises. i thought id show the nice side to good ol darth.
then we walked around a bit and caught a bus to glebe. i loved glebe. it was so cool. the houses were all old and funky and glebe point road, the main road in glebe is full of cool restaurants and stuff. we stayed just off of glebe point road in arcadia house bed and breakfast. donna and gary were our host and hostess and they must get up bloody early to have the house looking like it does and the breakfast ready. wow. there house is so nice. and every morning we had a choice of fruit, cereal, yoghurt, croissants, toast, raisin toast, muffins, fruit rolls, different juices, freshly brewed plunger coffee and tea. and it was all laid out for us when we got up.
on friday we had a sleep for a few hours, then walked up and down glebe point road looking for something to eat. by the time we decided what we wanted it was about 11 o'clock and everything was closing so we just went to the deli and got some chips and i got some milk and cookies icecream. that was amazing. it was gourmet icecream, yummo :)
then we went home again and slept.
on saturday morning we went to the glebe markets which i seriously could have spent all day at. there were so many cool stalls and so many cool stuff, and so many cool people. yeah, as you can seem it was cool. i got two shirts - very funky. matt got a t shirt and a shirt and i got a necklace which has become my most favourite thing. it was by a local artist called jordana archer-may and you HAVE to go look at her site. i'm thinking about changing some of my faeries to some of hers.....maybe? do you think so, sean? :)
my necklace is just a small square frame made of aluminium with a beautiful drawing in it on a thin silver wire and i love it. its on this page and it's called 'found will fly'.
then we walked around a bit and got some lunch then decided to catch the 'light rail', which just means tram, to the city and look around a bit at paddys markets. they're basically just huge markets with the same shops over and over again and pretty much all asian importers of toys like spaderman. 'just like the movie', she said. yeah, that would have been the one with tabey maguire and kirstun dinst in it. we got xander some funny little star wars guys with big heads. he loves them,
then we caught a bus to annandale to go to the bass player and guitar world? cant remember if that ones right, no, its something or others rare guitars. anyway, theyre both shops that matt has wanted to go to for ever. they were ok. not as good as either of us had hoped. a bit too clean and well layed out. they should have been dark and musty with guitars jutting out all over the place and amp cords twisting through the rooms and stuff.
then we walked home from annandale and had some tea and went to sleep for a while. then we got dresses and walked back to annandale to see knievel play at the annandale hotel. they were cool. we got their cd and a free poster and they all signed the poster afterwards. tracey, the bass player, said that she'd come and see anatone if they got to play at music business adelaide at the end of november. matts got some phone calls to make.
after another beautiful sleep in the best bed in the world and amazing breakfast on the terrace, we headed on down to the rocks to go to the rocks markets, down at the harbour. i got the most amazing massage while i was there. i wish i could have stayed under that chinese girls hands forever :)
we got to walk around a few places where playing beatie bow was filmed back in the 80's. matt was very excited because he used to be in love with the girl who played abigail in the movie, imogen someone.
we walked along the harbour and took photos of the harbour bridge and the opera house. we sat down under the harbour bridge and i did a wee cos i was busting and i was wearing a skirt and no knickers, so i just sat on a little concrete wall and had a conversation with matt about how gross i was and wee'd down the wall. yep, i wee'd, so sue me :)
we had some lunch and then walked down to the aquarium. we were going to go in but they didnt have a bag check so we would have had to carry all our stuff with us and it was so heavy after carrying it all day already. apparently they arent allowed to hold bags anymore incase there are bombs in them. so thanks, osama, because of you i couldnt see the fishies.
we caught the monorail around darling harbour and got off in the city where we had a starbucks coffee and american baked cheesecake. that was niiiiiiice. we also had burger king the day before and that was nice too :) i had onion rings, havent had them in a while. anyway, we got some cds and shoes and some touristy things and then we had to catch a taxi to the airport.
on the plane we got ceaser salad and a tiny baby coke. we also got to watch kath and kim, and it was an episode we hadn't seen so that was cool. ken was trying to make a comemorative wedding sausage and kim had to help sharon play netball, but she gave up and kath won the game for them. then there was tom jones in concert. he was singing with the girl from catatonia. she's cute.
the boys were beautiful when we got to the airport. all smiles and cuddles and i love yous and i missed yous. good babies.
xander asked with perfect manners and hilariously huge eyes if he could have mcdonalds for tea so we had to say yes. and then they went to bed when we got home.
today we've just been putting our stuff away and doing the grocery shopping. matts taken xander to go yabbying and fishing right now and eli is watching the tweenies.
i think thats all for my trip. i'm sure i'll remember something else, but i'll let you know.

right hand side if you're in the bed :)
ok, we're off to sydney. i fully epect to find my house broken into when i get home, or some sort of bad thing since i had a dream last night about a rat eating something about the size of a puppy. wasnt nice.
anyway, so, you're all free to riffle through my knickers drawer since i wont be here to stop you.
it's the top draw on th right hand side of the bed :)
